I dislike stuff like this so much. Mathematics has some social stigma that a few people have placed on it, and it scares people from the STEM fields. Makes people think it is too difficult to pursue a career that involves mathematics.
Even if math is a bit difficult, because I would say that it does require a bit of effort, this statement is incorrect. Math, when done correctly, is easy. You start realizing how everything fits together. The basic rules of mathematics are so simple and clean cut.
